About the Class

The objective of this seminar is to teach the most effective way to locate, identify, and prevent premature furnace failures in residential furnace heat exchangers. Over 60 furnaces and heat exchangers are used in this fully hands-on training course.

Class Schedule

8:00am – 11:00am

Meet the instructors, class begins

  1. Coffee, attendee sign-in, receive manual
  2. Heat exchanger types, families, and characteristics
  3. Red flags and problem indicators
  4. Cycling the furnace
  5. Hands-on instruction with furnace chambers, proper procedures, inspection guidelines, and first signs of furnace failure
11:00am – 12:00pm

Lunch

12:00pm – 2:00pm

Continued instruction

  1. Continue hands-on training inspecting each type of furnace chamber, focusing on proper procedures, key inspection areas, and most common points of failure
2:00pm – 3:30pm

Part 2

  1. Air flow, venting, carbon monoxide
  2. Absolute proof of diagnosis
3:30pm – 4:00pm
