You are invited to join fellow industry professionals and students for ACA/NE's HVAC/R Career Days.

The HVAC/R Career Day allows vocational, technical, and private career school students, career services staff, principals, guidance counselors, and teachers to explore the full spectrum of career opportunities within the HVAC/R industry. During Career Day, students will:

  • Meet with Industry representatives who will share their experience and roles within the industry;
  • Learn what type of soft skills are most important when entering the workforce; and
  • Engage in interaction between industry attendees through interviews and during the exhibition room visits.

The purpose of the HVAC/R Career Day is to increase awareness about the industry’s challenging and rewarding careers, including excellent pay and benefits and the option to enter the workforce without the debt incurred attending a traditional four-year college.

The HVAC/R industry is experiencing a growing demand for new employees, and this event is a vital opportunity for ACA/NE to help demonstrate that need.

Student, Faculty, and Career Services Staff Benefits

The ACA/NE Career Days will allow students to explore opportunities within the HVAC/R industry, which offers challenging and rewarding career options with great pay, benefits, and growth opportunities.

There is a growing demand for new HVAC/R employees, and jobs are available to students who want to enter the workforce with the skills needed for career success but without the debt they would incur after attending a four-year college.

The Career Day will include an educational session where industry representatives will speak with students about their careers, discuss how they entered the industry, and review the jobs available within their companies.

During this session, students will also learn about the requirements, expectations, and skills they need to negotiate a professional employment interview. The session will cover social skills, public speaking, time management, project management, and critical thinking.

Given the large number expected to attend the ACA/NE Career Days, students will be separated into two groups at registration.

Group One will first attend the Industry Information and Soft Skills Seminar and then visit exhibitors.

Group Two will first visit exhibitors. then attend the Industry Information and Soft Skills Seminar.

Both groups will have lunch together.
